During the year 2017, our group has continued to deepen our understanding of the fundamental molecular mechanism underlying the initiation and progression of tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. We have published in multidisciplinary journals such as Nature Scientific Reports our results describing the role of two Ephrin receptors in the tumorigenic process of colon cancer suing a combination of isogenic in vitro systems, new animal models and large collections of primary human colorectal tumors. We have also been able to attracted new talented researchers to join our group. In addition, one master student (Anna Gratacós) and one PhD Student (Fernando Cartón) completed their training.
