Our group has consolidated the lines of research in traumatic, knee, septic, pediatric and hip pathology and has opened a new line in pathology of the hand.

We have consolidated collaborations with other VHIR research groups and with institutions outside the Hospital such as UPC and UPF, obtaining external funding from institutions such as Canadian Institutes of Health Research, OTA (Orthopedic Trauma Association) and CHU from Saint Etienne.

We have finalized a doctoral thesis and we have started three more. We won the prize for the best clinical work in the first joint congress of the European Pediatric Orthopedics (EPOS) and American (POSNA) societies: POSNA’s Best Clinical Award Paper for the work “Research for Fetal Myelomeningocele Repair”.

Thanks to the relationship with Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the hand of Dr. Gerra of our group, the first evidence-based medicine course was conducted under the direction of Professor Mohit Bhandari.
